Who is Cross Culture Arts?

Cross Culture Arts was born out of a calling to reach more Christians and non-Christians by sharing the gospel in artistic ways. It is ran and founded by Keith and Kathleen Isacson, Chicago-area artists who see the power of uniting art with the gospel to bring people closer in community with God and each other. Now married, they first met in 1989 and have been making art together ever since. They have been creating art focused church events for nine years and are members of Willow Creek Community church. Collectively, they strive to equip Christian artists to use their gifts to spread the gospel, help build and grow arts ministry teams, teach and speak in conferences & groups settings.

Keith is a mixed media, conceptual and performance artist who has performed and exhibited in numerous venues in the Chicago area, including the celebrated Randolph Street Gallery.  Keith has studied at Columbia College, Chicago and Apicius, Florence, Italy. He has experimented with a wide range of materials, such as found objects, fused glass, sheep's hair, bees' wax and exotic woods.

Kathleen is an award-winning artist and writer whose visual work resides in public and private collections. Primarily a painter, she has worked in a variety of other mediums, including papermaking, performance art, mixed media installations and photography. Recently, Kathleen contributed to the 2010 Brighton Arts Festival and was on the speaking faculty for the 2011 Karitos Christian Arts Conference. She currently leads the Willow Creek Crystal Lake visual arts team.
