The fear that they might see me stops me from believing in much of anything.
Behind acrylic eyes the chance they might see
Holds me back from the chance of being connected.
But her mask can be weakened but the right angle.
Behind, eyes dance wildly without their clothes,
And I wonder if she’ll know I’m much more the imposter.
I wonder if he knows I’m an imposter.
His eyes move with a world inside.
Just beyond I can see him looking back at me.
But what holds me back from being connected?
This tenuous mask begins to streak lies,
The truth will show and they will know that right now I just want believe.
